Thank You for supporting the Montana Plan
We can eliminate corporate political campaign expenditures! In less than twelve hours of talking to people over the Independence Day weekend, I found 303 Americans who supported the Montana Plan. I would have found more if I had talked less.
Our Top Priorities
The Montana Plan
We are supporting the Montana Plan to stop corporate campaign spending. The states set the powers of corporations. This is a state-by-state effort to remove the power corporations have to make political expenditures.
Better Voting Methods
Traditional “Choose One” plurality voting has a major problem in elections with three or more candidates. If you vote for a third party or an independent candidate, you risk wasting your vote and helping the candidate you dislike. Ranked Choice Voting is an improvement, but it is not reliable enough for American elections.
BTR-Score & Round Robin Voting
Round Robin voting and BTR-Score voting methods are the best voting methods for single winner elections. You can express your opinion about each candidate. They are fair to all candidates and superior to both "Choose 1" plurality voting and Ranked Choice Voting (RCV).
We want to establish one of these methods in a Colorado jurisdiction. In August, the Denver City Council came one vote shy of placing Ranked Choice Voting on the ballot for Denver voters to decide if they wanted to use it in city council elections.
Capitalism for the People
Capitalism made capital cheap and abundant. Farmers, tradesmen, merchants, and everyone else have greater access to financial capital. Capitalism can work for the people; we just need to change the rules of the game to make it work for us. Tax law and antitrust law are the keys. Please read The 2nd Law of Economics - Capitalism for the People to find out how capitalism should work. Fractional Reserve Banking is the engine of capitalism; if you do not know how it works, you are in for a shocking surprise. You need to know.
We support Tax Reform and NOPWSIcare. We propose a new Graduated Corporate Income Tax designed to increase competition and deter monopolies.
Multi Party Election Reform
Traditional "Choose 1" plurality voting has a spoiler problem in every election with three or more candidates. Also, you can only rank one candidate as better than the other candidates. These problems lock in two party rule. This allows the Billionaire Coalition, the donor class, and the lobbyists to rule with ease. Voters and politicians need more parties to choose from.
Neutral Open Primaries
Traditional primary elections in most states are limited to major parties. We propose Neutral Open Primary Elections to make the primaries fair to all candidates and parties.
Proportional Representation
Republicans in blue states, Democrats in red states, and third party members everywhere often feel that their votes do not count. They feel that way because their votes do not count.
A party that wins 40% of the vote should win 40% of the seats. With Proportional Representation your vote always counts because it helps your party win seats.
Advocate
Please tell your friends, enemies, and elected representatives about the Voters' Army. Tell the world about your favorite reforms.📣
We make it easy to send messages to your elected representatives about most of our reforms. Click the link at the bottom of the article to get started.
The billionaires, the media outlets they own, and the lobbyists they hire work hard to keep us divided. The Voters' Army is here to fight back.
Volunteer Opportunities
Events
We will occasionally hold events to promote various reforms and the Voters’ Army. Check our newsletters for details.
Meet Your Representatives
Would you like to meet your elected representatives? It's easy! As a constituent, you can contact your representative’s local office to set up a meeting. Tell them you are a member the Voters’ Army and you want to talk about your favorite reform proposal.
I can attend the meeting (in Colorado); I have a flexible schedule. It is best to contact me first so we can coordinate strategy and decide who is going to say what. If you are comfortable, it would be best if you do most of the talking; I will be there for backup. We might invite two or three more supporters from your district.
