Election Results: The Donor Class Wins Again

Our elections are rigged for two parties. Are you satisfied with them?
The donor class strategy is to win in the primaries of both parties. To fight back, we are recruiting citizens to vote for economic and election reform in the Republican and Democratic primaries.

the Voters Army

We are a peaceful army of American citizens working for a strong economy and fair elections. We support politicians who work for us instead of the elites. Politicians are not the problem; it is the system we put them in.

Our Purpose and Plan

Capitalism works best when the rules favor working people and small business. Representational democracy gives us the power to change the rules. Tax policy is key. We need to tax the rich and multinational corporations because their money gives them too much power, and they are doing a lousy job of running the country.

Traditional choose 1 plurality voting is prone to vote splitting and spoilers; this locks in two party rule. Ranked Choice Voting is better, but it is also susceptible to spoilers. Score voting methods, Score, STAR and BTR-Score, let voters rate all candidates with no fear of the spoiler effect.

Two parties are not enough to represent 174,000,000 American voters. A party that wins 40% of the vote should win 40% of the seats. Proportional representation will voice our will. Voters and politicians will have more parties to choose from.

Four Missions

News, Education, Research & Development, Advocacy

News

As a news site, Voters.Army will cover three neglected areas:
Economic reforms for working Americans and small business.
Election methods fair to all candidates and parties.
Politicians who support reform.

Education

We strive to write clear and concise articles. Over time, Voters.Army will become a resource for the study of election science and economic policy.

Research & Development

We aim to advance political science and economics.

We have a new method for fair primary elections. Neutral Open Primaries are blanket primaries designed to give third parties and unaffiliated candidates a fair chance and a real voice.

Parties win seats in the legislature based on their share of the vote with our new version of Mixed Member Proportional Representation (MMP). Following tradition, we elect one representative from each district. A minimum number of at-large seats are used to ensure that each party wins seats equal to its share of the vote.

Member Advocacy

Our members drive our advocacy efforts. We discuss proposals in the comments of each article. Our site makes it easy to promote your favorite reforms with social media links and messages to your representatives.

Reform candidates are invited post on our site. It could be a campaign post or and/or an article about your favorite reform. Members help their favorite candidates with votes, social media love, messages of support sent to friends, and even contributions.

As a member, you decide which reforms and politicians you support. We make easy to do so. We have far less hierarchy than most armies.

Our Voters Resource page will help you check the records of the candidates on your ballot.

Five Goals

  1. A powerful economy to serve the people.
  2. Elections fair to all parties and candidates.
  3. A political system focused on issues, not ideology.
  4. To be imitated. More political organizations should focus on creating a fair economy and fair elections. A couple of political parties come to mind. The hell with ideology; it only serves to keep us divided. Social conservatives and social liberals need to work together for fairness and efficiency. Allowing the elites to run the economy is inefficient and unfair.
  5. Demonstrate Our Power We must prove to politicians that working for us is a better way to win elections than accepting doner class money. For this reason we need all the members we can get. We have a big tent! Please tell your friends, enemies and strangers about the Voters Army.

Redemption

If you have taken donor class cash you can redeem yourself. Tell the lobbiests that you have changed your mind on key issues. Do not offer refunds! If enough officeholders stiff their corporate donors the donors will stop donating.

Help!

We need help from voters and politicians.

Volunteer - Local Teams

We want to have fun! We will have volunteer groups across America. Activities include recruiting new members in public places, brainstorming, and letter writing. We will also host activities purely for fun.

One requirement: You must be friendly with people who disagree with you on social issues. The coolest thing to do is to start a volunteer group in your community or help run an existing group. If you are interested, please email.

Volunteer - Expertise

We need writers, lobbyists, and spokespersons interested in economics, election science, and public policy. We also need help with social media, media relations, marketing, accounting, and legal issues. As we grow, we will hire in these areas. If you can lend a hand, please send an email.

Politicians - We need your input!

Please help us find the answer to the Big Questions: How can we help you and your like-minded colleagues? What are your favorite reforms? What campaign finance reforms would help you? Would you like to post on our site? For more info, please contact us at services4pols@voters.army.

Suggestions

Do you know of economic or election reforms we should write about? Do you know any politicians we should support? Any other ideas? Please email suggestions@voters.army.

Organization Under Construction

We are so new we are not asking for money.

We have a big tent: plenty of room for third-party members, independents, ardent Trump supporters, Bernie Bros, and the most disaffected of unaffiliated voters. We even have some Republicans and Democrats. If nothing else, we want to prove that we can work together towards common goals.

We disagree on social issues, but we all want to take back power from the billionaires and corporations who run our nation.

Organizational Structure

We may form a 501 c(4) social welfare organization. Reform groups often form two organizations, a 501 c(3) public charity and a 501 c(4), this could have advantages for us. We might operate as a private membership organization.

Our editor and founder is Greg Wasleski, a concerned citizen, small business owner, and political petition circulator.

Thank you for your interest in the Voters Army!
